I have recently purchased a Packard Bell VGA Webcam PB-WC100 and went to install the drivers but get the following message
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.
I try and reinstall the drivers and then get the software you are installing for this hardware has not passed windows logo testing to verify it compatibility with Windows XP. If I continue with the install I get another message saying the driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for windows 95 or later......

Have you tried going to the Packard Bell site to see if they have released a new XP compatible driver?

PB won't even acknowledge that they make it.
Is this an older cam thet you bought used or a brand new one out of the box?
Is there an FCC I.D. number on the camera? Those can identify the manufacturer. It's doubtful that PB actually made it, they most likely sell another brand under their name.
