Full Version: Cant play games afta reinstall
Hello again. I ha major adware and spyware problems which resulted in me reinstalling my computa with the recovery disk. Now when i try and play a game it say software 3D error initializing graphic interface and hardware 3D error initalizing graphic interface (the game is settlersIv and ive neva had problem with it before. Also when i tried sid meirs pirates it says problem with direct x i downloaded the most recent version of it. I no expert but i fink this may be the prob. Can some one help me plz.
you need to install your graphic card drivers.
xp installs graphics which looks good but it is not the drivers for your graphic card .find the cd which came with your graphic card and put it in cdrom drive and update the driver in device manager or it might set up auto.
what sort of computer have you got ??
if it is a Medion or Microstar you need to recover using the support cd and not the recovery cd.
the recovery cd do not install the drivers and the utilities such as Power dvd and Nero

Drivers and Utiltiy DVD
Insert the Drivers and Utility DVD into the drive while Windows® is running and allow the DVD to autorun
Note: At this point the DVD may automatically start the install of DirectX 9.0b, follow the onscreen wizard to complete and the PC will restart.
From the onscreen Helpdesk menu you can select:
Documentation Driver - this will install Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 and place the documentation for the hardware in the PC into C:\Online documentation
Driver installation - this will list available drivers for the system. Click Install to start (this process may take a few minutes) and the PC will restart when finished
Additional software - here you can select additional software for the system. Norman Antivirus, WinDVD and various ISP software can be installed. Put a tick next to the software you desire and click Install
Internet links - lists the various Fujitsu Siemens internet support sites. Select and then click Run to open.
