Hello,
I bought a PCChips M758LMR+ Mobo, along with a new P4 compatible case and 400 watts power supply. After installing the board I find there is no power (anywhere!). The case fan doesn't go on and the fan to the CPU doesn't move either.
What could I be doing wrong? I did install the main connectors from the case to the board (though there are wires that don't seem to go anywhere, from the case). The power supply has two voltage settings; 115 / 230. Which should be the default?
I have (2) PC133 128MB SDRAM installed and an Intel 900 MHz (133 FSB) CPU that's also new.

ANY help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Rick

Assuming you're in UK, voltage should be set to 230.

Does the psu fan go round when you switch it on?

I assume you have connected the power switch on the case to the board. Double check that is correctly fitted.

Try connecting the HDD and listen for that spinning up when you boot the PC, if you get nothing, I'd strongly suspect a duff psu.

PC CHIPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

They all come disabled...

FIND the RED Jumper 1(usually next to the battery) and set it to enabled.

We have a lot of PC CHiPS board back because of this. Its not clear in the manual, but they all are dispatched with the BIOS disabled.

Good Luck

A further point, after checking the jumper, check the switch on the case is funtioning properly.

The DRIVES will do nothing until the board has fired.

Which means, the jumper has to be enabled, the power has to be present and the switch has to be pressed...
