Hi Tommy

What is the make & model of the PC?
Tommy
I bought the pc ages ago from tiny computers. everything bar the processor has been upgraded.
It was 1.5ghz family pc

Suddenly I wish I hadn't asked.

You could try using the BIOS string to search on this site Here to see if you can find out what it is. (It tells you on the site how to determine the BIOS string).

But frankly even if you find it, I can pretty much guarantee that it won't support something like a P4 3.0ghz. If that's what you want, I would factor into your budget an upgrade of the motherboard as well.

Belarc advisor from the Crucial site should ID that one but I'm with you Glasshopper, Tiny boards were never the best, budget for a new board, that does give you an Athlon option then, also check out the PSU.

Yeah i thought i might have to buy a new mother board. no probs thanks for the advice.
