Hi everyone

Slight problem that i'm hoping you can help me with:

I've just installed inter actual player for dvd's it came on a three kings dvd and after it installed it went onto the net and downloaded the latest version.
when i try and play the dvd i'm getting the start up screen but when i click play i get the following message:

Error PL4013 playback failed due to a problem with the video sub system, please ensure that your dvd decoder is functioning properly.

I've tryed downloading the latest drivers for the dvd player but can only find them from 2000 and it says there not compatible with xp.
The dvd i a Hitachi dvd-rom gd-7500
i'm running on windows xp pro

and flipper if i've put this in the wrong place i'm sorry, couldn't decide if it was software or hardware!!!! tongue.gif

I can't find an XP driver either but I'm not convinced that it is a driver issue.

This is a link to interactual's troubleshooting page. Here. Try working through some of their checks and see if it helps.

I've had a look at it and it seams that i need to download a dvd decoder (ran a test and it can't find one on my system) however all the sites that say they have a free one, havent, don't suppose you know anywhere do you.

Thanks mate wave.gif

Found a free one but you've obviously moved on a bit. Can't see why the one you've downloaded would be having a problem with your graphics card. unsure.gif I know software players require a certain speed of CPU but as graphics aren't doing hardware decoding I can't see where they come into it.

The one I found is Here
