Hi,

i've been trying to sort out a problem with a second monitor for ages, and having no luck. I recently installed a second monitor to my system and manged to get it working fine. I'm using an external USB to DVI Graphics Adapter/Convertor which is possibly the root of all my problems.

So, i got it to connect and i can move my mouse onto the second screen and move windows and work on it, but only for a while. Once i start using it, 5 mins later it freezes up and i can't fix it! My primary monitor still functions though, so i just have to leave it. But if i leave it sitting there and not using it, it seems to be fine.

From what i can gather from various other internet searches it might be a clash of drivers. I've tryed re-installing drivers and checking all the properties and everything says 'working properly', which is annoying as it clearly isn't.

Any clue please?

Another example of manufacturers getting USB to do something that it was never designed for.......... rolleyes.gif

Have you checked the manufacturer's website to see if they have issued any driver/software updates?
