I have set up a new aol wireless route which works ok with a laptop which is on the same desk as my advent t9100. The desktop only picks up enough signal to load email (strength poor to fair) yet the la
ptop has full 100% strength...any suggestions?

If the aerial of the desktop wireless adapter is behind the case then the PC itself can sometimes shield it from a lot of the signal. You often get better results with a usb adapter at the front or if it can only be plugged in at the back, on an extension cable.
