Hi, I have an acer aspire m1201 desktop, and l am attempting to remove the optical drive and replace it with a lightscribe enabled one. I have removed the side
panel, but I cannot figure out how the front panel comes off so l can remove the drive, I would not like to damage it through my ignorance. I have tried the link
for acer support and this model isn't even listed. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how to remove the front.

I'm not familiar with this case, but usually with a desktop tower case you don't need to remove the front panel.

The drive is usually fixed with some screws (or other type of fixing) in the drive bay. You'll probably need to get access to both sides of the case for this.

Once the screws are removed the drive should slide out of the front of the case (remembering to disconnect any cables).

Fitting the new drive is the reversal of this.
