Aaaaa_why_is_not_working
Hi guys I just spent 3 hours working out how to turn on the wireless connection on the Advent 6411 also known as Uniwill L75II0. I tried installing drivers and software didn’t work the online user manual provided by Uniwill is strange, it mentions it has an on/off switch but the picture doesn’t display exactly where. Anyway I found the switch located in the bottom left corner underneath the lights, its on the left side where the headphones are inserted.

The manual and components are located at http://www.uniwill.com/UserDownload/l75ii/l75ii.php

I don’t understand the point of a wireless on/off switch.

Well as you are talking about the switch for a wireless networking adapter, it probably should be in the networking section...............but then again, it is a piece of hardware.............so in the words of the late Kirsty MacColl: 'let's stay right here'.

Anyway, most laptops have a hardware switch for the wireless adapter. The reason is that the adapter drains battery power very fast. So it makes sense if you are away from the mains, to only switch it on when you actually need to use it.
