Afternoon folks, hoping you can help.

I've been lent an Advent 7094 laptop by a friend who's been using it with another keyboard attached because he can't get the function key to unlock.

If I want to use those letters or keys where a "function" is also available (eg the "i" key) I have to press the "Fn" key as well. Needless to say, I can't type on the thing unless I use the additional keyboard (which kind of defeats the point of a laptop)

Does anyone know how I "unlock" the Function key on the Advent 7094 laptop so I can type properly again?

Many thanks.
Mart
If I understand you properly, it sounds like you've got the numeric keypad enabled.

To disable it you need to press Fn + NumLk

Thanks for that, I did a couple of combinations of Fn + (the Numlk didn't work) but something similar did, so you still helped me. Cheers and much appreciated.
