I am trying to download the AVG free antivirus 8.5, and everything was going fine until tryng to install it and a message comes up saying that there is a connection issue and "AVG is not able to detect a working internet connection". As you will see from this post, that isnt the case!
The error code it mentions is: 0xE001C04E
All help gratefully accepted, particularly as my computer literacy is ok but erring on the moderate side of capable.

There doesn't appear to be a definite answer to this. It does depend on the individual circumstances on how your pc is setup, eg. firewall, malware problem.
