Hi. In Win XP it's possible to add/remove windows components such as IE, Media Player, etc. Is there an equivalent in Vista? please.

Hello,
at the present I got Windows 7(Beta) installed on one of my partitions.
which is basically Vista plus service pack 1 and 2 added

to get all the tools including add remove just type
msconfig
in the search text box
and choose tools from the TABS at top

every thing is there for you
including system restore and defrage
remember if you got the Vista installation (or windows7) CD then it is a PE bootable disk
which you can restore(repair) vista if it is not on the same hard disk as XP.

another tip is copy the folder
windows\system32\driverstore from your hard disk to a DVD (it is 1.4BG large)
then if you need to install vista again all drivers are there just brows towards that folder on your DVD drive
or large memory stick.
Morrisons are selling 4GB sandisk memory stick for £8 at moment. it is easier than DVD.

regards Ben
