Hi. PC, XPHE, 480Mb ram. Outlook Express. Messages without attachments work normally. Messages with attachments:- As soon as I click on the header, the pgm locks up, only by closing down OE and re-opening, can I access the message headers again.
Also, the dialogue box suggesting compacting messages is opening irregularly.

Hi. I found a 'repair kit', at the following site. It seems to have cured the problem. I suspect that just clicking ok to compacting the folders would have also cured the problem.

Glad you got it sorted and thanks for the info on the fix.

I regret having to say that this problem re-occured. The 'fix' didn't, and the only way out was a complete re-instal of windows. If this happens to anyone else, I would greatly appreciate knowing how they cured it.
