Hi, not sure if this is the correct section to post in but sure someone will let me know if its not. I have been working this morning from some folders from a drive that is housed in a drive caddy. I went out for a while and when I came back and swithched my machine on the folders were not there. I created a new folder and went into it but when I came out of it, it disappeared. They must be there somewhere because when I created a new folder again it named it 'new folder (2)' so obviously the original new folder is there. It seems to be only one folder. This is the path Z:\PROJECTS\CURRENT PROJECTS\TF1069 - ** ********, Macclesfield\Architects drawings. I have added the stars to hide a name. It had about 3 or 4 other folders in it that have disappeared somewhere. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated

This is interesting. I didnt search for new folder but searched for a .dwg file that I know was in the offending folder. The search picked up a shortcut to the file in the following location C:\Documents and Settings\ALL USERS.D67VF81J\Recent. The shortcut pointed to the offending folder so I double clicked the .dwg file to open it in Autocad and sure enough it opened. This I presume means the file is in there still but the search did not pick it up directly. I have continued creating new folders every now and then in the offending folder, to reassure myself that Im not losing the plot, and am now upto new folder (6). Also, when I look at the folders properties it shows it as having zero kb.
