Hi every one, can some one help me.

I having a problem with Mitac Model 8089P and it behave like that; You start it up and it comes with Bios display and dos mode and then it start to start the Windows XP, in the beginning you see a line in the display and some time a small part is fussy like with interference. When the welcome screen has come up and right after that you see a lot of interference like a carpet on the display. I'm wonder if the computer is worth to fix or what. I have seen similar in Apple computer and the it was L2 card broken is it same here?
