I 'lost' sentimental photographs during a power cut when I was in the middle of backing-up. I have tried several versions of 'Corrupt File Recovery Programs' [some free and 2 bought]. While most of these program's can identify the files, location and dates of deletion, and names of the missing photo's none have been able to recover them. I get the message - cannot read the file header?

Has anyone any suggestions how to proceed forward in my task to recover said pictures.

were these photo's on your harddrive?

Yes they were on my 'C' drive and I was backing them up to me external hard drive ['E'] when there was an electricity failure - when power was restored the photographs were no longer there.
