Hello again
toshiba (Satellite Pro)laptop would not turn on(not power up)

1. unplug the laptop
2.take out the battery
3.hold down the power button for 30 seconds ( they call it destating the
4.power it with AC power unit only.
5.once you are in windows shut down as normal
6.put battery back in
7.power up again and in windows check to see if laptop is charging
give it few seconds for indicator bar to show in power meter window .

this usually does the trick

if still no joy Remove the BIOS Battery for 30 seconds.
and then replace it
then power up using AC power pack only.
I find that this is happening more and more with the new laptops and net books
the main cause is the Battery.
the flashing orange light means that the batery is charging; when battery gives
up it does so quickly, and in fact the bateries can cook if pluged in for a
long time, with no power being drawn.
this means that they can short and cause damage to the motherboard.
